At the beginning of 2025, I was going through my end of year wrap up on Spotify. It was really interesting to see the different music that I was listening to (Beyonce was on heavy rotation as well as Kendrick Lamar) but there was one part of the report that gave me pause. The podcast listening section. I was dismayed to see that no Black podcasts made their way into my top ten for minutes listened to. Let’s be clear, I was listening to Black and Brown shows I felt like in the the genre that I really listen to which is business-I had subconsciously prioritized primarily white voices to educate me on business. And in 2025, I made the vow to correct this and prioritize who I’m learning from.

Show Notes
I thought about this again mid-way through the year when Angela and I got frustrated with Corey because he was sharing a well-known entrepreneur on our show as a person for guidance. That person’s a complete dick. The conversation though around who we bring into our spaces and who we choose to learn from was absolute gold. With that in mind, I share with you a diverse list of business focused podcasts that I listen to and hope that you’ll enjoy learning from in 2026. These voices are powerful, interesting and super informative while being entertaining.
- Empowered Business-I’m specifically obsessed with the Mastermind Episodes
- Mindful Marketing with Andréa Jones-Not only is Andrea a marketing bad ass, she also writes romance books.
- Off the Grid with Amelia Hruby-I was fortunate enough to interview her in 2024. She’s focused on supporting creators who decide to leave social media as a way to build their online facing brands.
- Honey and Hustle Show hosted by Angela Hollowell
- Social Media Decoded with Michelle Thames-Short Powerful episodes
- The Email Growth Show with Kylie Kelly-Her tips are always spot on.
- The Freelance Friday Podcast with Latasha James-Latasha has a huge YouTube platform so I learn a lot about YouTube from her as well as other topics specific to brand building and monetization.
- The Tech Jawn with Robb Dunewood, Tech Life Steph and Terrance Gains AKA BrothaTech
- Yo Quiero Dinero with Jannesse Torres-I love everything about Jannesse’s story, how empowered she is and how she empowers her audience to build powerfully as well.
